In 2023 we made the decision to support the production of this incredible independent photography magazine’s print issue. As technical sponsors, we took the lead in art direction and designed the layout in collaboration with the editorial team.
Contenuti del progetto
The project is an in-depth journey into photography through a variety of perspectives. We created a custom-made layout for each section, which is in turn associated to a different kind of Fedrigoni paper. This helped us enhance the dynamic range of contents: articles, interviews, essays.
For the design of Pellicola’s first issue, we embraced contrast. Using black and white typography, two distinct fonts, and a dynamic play of filled and blank spaces, we aimed to reflect the magazine’s dual nature: its roots in the digital world and its longing for the slow pace of analog photography.
